Congratulations to the PCTI students who successfully completed the Passaic County Sheriff Junior Cadet Academy, a prestigious program hosted at the Passaic County Police Academy. This intensive two-month experience offered young individuals aged 15-17 an invaluable opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the dynamic world of law enforcement. The program provided a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities of the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, including physical fitness, report writing, building searches, road safety, and SWAT response. It was designed to inspire and equip these bright young minds with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a fulfilling career in law enforcement.
PCTVS commends these dedicated students for their commitment and determination throughout this transformative experience. The academy's curriculum focused on various facets of law enforcement, fostering a sense of responsibility, discipline, and community service. As we reflect on this achievement, we look forward to witnessing the continued growth and contributions of these aspiring cadets to our community
"This program is a more intensive offering compared to our Junior Police Academy, tailored specifically for older students who possess a genuine interest in law enforcement," Berdnick said. "Our hope is that through this engaging experience, some of the participants will be inspired to pursue a rewarding career in the field."
The Passaic County Sheriff Junior Cadet Academy showcases the dedication of both the students and the Passaic County Sheriff's Office in nurturing the future leaders of law enforcement.
