STEM Academy's Emily Bohn Chosen as C-SPAN 2023 Teacher Fellow
STEM teacher Emily Bohn has been selected as one of the esteemed educators to partake in C-SPAN’s prestigious 2023 Teacher Fellowship program. This notable achievement underscores Bohn's outstanding contributions to education and her innovative approach to teaching.
Currently, Emily Bohn imparts her knowledge and expertise in AP Government and Politics and United States History at the STEM Academy. With twenty-two years of dedicated service Emily has been part of the STEM Academy since its conception and excelled in the classroom.
Together with five other distinguished fellows, Bohn collaborated with C-SPAN to expand the collection of digital resources available to educators. This initiative will empower middle and high school teachers by providing them with a wider array of video-based content, including lesson plans, bell ringers, current events videos, and inquiry-based deliberations.
The Fellowship took place virtually in July, coinciding with C-SPAN’s Summer Educators’ Conferences for middle and high school teachers. During the conferences, Bohn and her fellow Teacher Fellows engaged in enlightening discussions on how they leverage C-SPAN Classroom resources in their teaching methods.
