Ready. Set. Go!, The new theme of an exciting new school year aptly sets the tone for the students and staff of Passaic County Technical and Vocational Schools as we welcomed back our amazing students and staff for Opening Day of the 2021-22 school year. It was a breath of fresh air to see all of the smiling faces as Bulldog Nation made its way back into the hallways, labs, classrooms, and athletic fields.
The unprecedented experience of the past eighteen months greatly challenged PCTVS’ amazing educators and dedicated personnel. Together, as a family committed to one another and their passion for education, they are ready to move forward with great resolve and optimism to provide a meaningful and progressive learning experience for their students. . The Opening Day ceremonies for Staff included a Virtual Opening Day presentation with speeches from the administration (acting superintendent and assistant super intendent) which included a lively and dynamic themed video presentation including drone footage of the gorgeous sprawling campus, featuring highly spirited students and staff showing their love and eagerness for all things PCTVS.
The 2021 school year will see an unprecedented number of over 4480 students on the PCTVS campus with both PCTI and the STEM Academy at full capacity. Moreover, this will be the first year the STEM Academy graduates its first senior class – each of the last four years they have introduced one new class of students which now brings together all 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
