PCTVS NHS Advisor Kebra Rettenberg commented, “We are incredibly proud of Pauline on her selection as an NHS Scholarship finalist. It is extremely well deserved, as Pauline is a model student in not only her impressive academic accomplishments, but in her leadership, service, and character.”
At PCTVS, Kung is an exemplary student in PCTI’s School of Criminal Justice, ranking in the top 2% of her class. Beyond her academic accomplishments, she has competed as a three-season varsity athlete in volleyball, swimming, and track. This fall, she will attend Rutgers University to study International Relations in the School of Arts and Science Honors Program.
Since 1946, more than $19 million in scholarships has been awarded to outstanding NHS senior members to support college access and student success. The scholarship program is supported by the parent organization of NHS, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
In the 100 years since NHS was founded in 1921, members have been making a difference in their schools and communities, and the NHS Scholarship is NASSP’s way of recognizing the most exceptional of these student leaders. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated work to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Congratulations, Pauline, on this impressive accomplishment! We wish you all the best in your future academic endeavors!
