PCTI and the Market Basket, Inc. have been partners for several years. It all began with a desire for the Franklin Lakes company to work with the talented students of PCTI’s School of Culinary Arts. The enrichment-based opportunity has resulted in cooperative education and job shadowing initiatives, which allows students to align positions with their program of study. Over time, the partnership has evolved to include PCTI’s School of Business Careers and Academy of Finance students, who often serve as administrative assistants in the catering office, customer service representatives, and cashiers.
In addition, The Market Basket, Inc. has joined the ranks of PCTI’s Advisory Committee members and has generously provided guidance and scholarships to deserving graduates of the School of Culinary Arts program.
Congratulations to The Market Basket, Inc. for being selected as PCTI’s 2018-2019 Business Partner of the Year!
Mark Cacace (PCTI Supervisor of Instruction), Al Alexander (PCTI Board of Education President), Damaris Solomon (PCTI Board of Education Vice President), and Mike Coscia (Board of Education Commissioner) congratulate Mark Chernalis and Zach Chernalis of The Market Basket, Inc. for being named PCTI’s Business Partner of the Year.
