The jump in freshmen attendance is due to PCTI’s newest educational component, the STEM Academy. Each year, PCTI’s STEM Academy will accept three-hundred students to receive an education in one of the following programs: Biomedical and Life Science, Computer Science, or Engineering. The Academy utilizes an integrative learning model to ensure all courses and projects in the fields are interconnected.
Faculty and students were also welcomed back with the school theme, PCT&I - which celebrated a call to action through outreach and volunteerism, as well as the effects such initiatives have on the school community and beyond. The theme also champions the power of integrity, connection, and achieving the extraordinary.
PCTI is the largest career and technical high school in New Jersey that offers an immersive learning experience through four academies, nine schools, and now, the STEM Academy. Programs include careers in Finance, Culinary Arts, Medical Arts, Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, Criminal Justice, and much more.
More information can be gathered at PCTI’s Open House event which will be held on Saturday September 22nd, from 10am-2pm.
Students return to PCTI for the first day of school after summer vacation.
