On April 19th, students and faculty of Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) were invited attended the W!SE (Working in Support of Education) 100 Best High Schools Teaching Personal Finance ceremony. It was here that W!SE celebrated schools that placed in the 2017 ranking of the 100 Best W!SE High Schools teaching personal finance. PCTI was named number one in the Large High School category and number seven out of all participating schools! In addition, PCTI also received the Silver Anniversary Cup, a distinction awarded in light of the ranking’s fifth year anniversary. The honor went to schools that performed the highest in the certification program for the past five consecutive years.
W!SE’s national ranking is the first of its kind in the country. The goal of this not-for-profit NYC-based educational program is to address the urgent need for financial literacy education; thereby ensuring students are prepared to enter the world after high school.
