Soon to be graduate of Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Academy of Finance, Qian Zhang recently submitted an essay to the New Jersey School Counselor Association (NJSCA) chronicling the positive influence her guidance counselor, Lauretta Cregar, has had in her life. The submission earned Lauretta recognition by the NJSCA as one of the 2017 High School Award Nominees. Both she and Qian Zhang were honored at the organization’s annual awards dinner.
Lauretta Cregar was further commended for her dedication and service to students, parents, educators, and the community, as well as for promoting the highest ideals in the school counseling profession. Qian Zhang also received a $1000 scholarship from the NJSCA for her impressive essay.
