Seniors Celebrate National Signing Day

PCTI seniors Yasir Thomas and Kurt Lassiter celebrate National Signing Day by committing to play to football with Lafayette College and Long Island University Post. They are joined by Head Football Coach Matthew Demarest and Principal Dr. Michael Parent.

Two seniors from Passaic County Technical Institute celebrated National Signing Day by signing athletic contracts for football with their future universities. Congratulations to Yasir Thomas of Lafayette College and Kurt Lassiter of Long Island University Post!

Yasir Thomas’ pick is part of the renowned Patriotic League, one of the most selective groups of higher education institutions in NCAA Division I. As a future Leopard, he aims to study Economics. While at PCTI, this Bulldog was selected for: All Big North (2014-2015, football & track), 2015 All Passaic County Football, 2015-2016 All Passaic County Track, 2015 All State (football), 2015 All State USA Today New Jersey (football), and 2015 All State Star Ledger (football).

Kurt Lassiter will become an honorary Ocelot when attending Long Island University Post to study Graphic Design. The institution is known for being a Division 2 School in the Northeast 10 Conference. While attending PCTI, Kurt has accumulated numerous accomplishments, including: 2014-2015 All Big North Selection (football & track), 2015 All Passaic County Football, and 2016 All Passaic County Track.

Congratulations to both Yasir Thomas and Kurt Lassiter on advancing their academic and athletic careers by selecting these universities!
