Congratulations to Toniann Feigel (Girls Swimming) and Garrett Pilkington (Boys Swimming) on their December Athletes of the Month nomination!
Toniann Feigel is a four-year varsity starter who:
Has had an outstanding start to her senior year of Girls Swimming. As one of the team captains, Toniann is integral in leading her peers to victory. She holds PCTI’s records for the 100 Butterfly and 200 Individual Medley (IM). Toriann competed in five meets this December where she took first place in the Butterfly (all five meets) and first in the 200 IM (three times). In addition, she placed first in the 100 backstroke twice and is an unparalleled member of the 200 Medley Relay Team, the 200 Free Relay Team, and the 400 Free Relay Team. Anchoring the relays, she is a consistently strong swimmer. Toniann achieved First Team All-League throughout all four years as a member of the swim team. She was named First Team All-County during her sophomore year and Second Team All-County during her freshman and junior years. This season, Toniann inspired her teammates to achieve victories against both Wayne Valley and Clifton High School, and continues to be a prominent swimmer on the team.
Garrett Pilkington is a four-year varsity starter who:
Has had an outstanding start to his senior year of Boys Swimming and came off a strong season last year in which his team won the league, county, and state championships. Garrett is a captain that is once again leading the team towards greatness during the 2016 season. Holding the PCTI records for the 200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Free Relay, and the 400 Free Relay, he has also been a member of the Bulldog’s First Place relay teams in five of the teams’ six meets this December. Garrett finished First Place in five meets for the following individual events: 200 Individual Medley, 500 Freestyle, and 200 Freestyle. He has been a First Team All-County and First Team Big North All-Liberty nomination as a freshman, sophomore, and again during his junior season. Garrett has helped the Bulldog Boys Swim Team remain undefeated this season (7-0) and powered them to win their first ever Super Six (elite swim invitational) swim meet.
