PCTI proudly introduces the top students of 2015: Aaron Varghese & Kevin Behnke!
Valedictorian
Aaron Varghese is a graduating senior of the Academy of Medical Arts who has been exposed to numerous forms of education with a history that includes being homeschooled, private institutions, and eventually embracing the public school system at Passaic County Technical Institute. His foray into the world of Career and Technical Education with advanced academics has truly paid off!
Aaron has taken advantage of numerous opportunities and joined clubs and organizations that filled out his high school career. He is President of PCTI’s HOSA chapter. Aaron was selected for National Honor Society and NJ Boy’s State. He has also been involved in Student Council/Interact and the Chess Club. Outside of school, he is an active member in his church and youth group through which he had the privilege of acting as a missionary. Aaron is also a Certified Nursing Assistant.
After graduation, Aaron plans on using the skills and knowledge he learned at PCTI to further his education. He will attend the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University and will pursue double majors in both Finance and Management.
Salutatorian
Kevin Behnke is a bright young man who’s happy go lucky personality and calm demeanor have served him well as a member of PCTI’s School of Engineering Technology. During his high school career, Kevin was selected as a member of the National Honor Society as well as Gifted and Talented. He currently acts as the Treasurer of the Class of 2015 and has participated in ERASE, Student Council/Interact, Junior Varsity Baseball, and Varsity Tennis. Last year, Kevin competed in the SkillsUSA Engineering Technology & Design competition where he came in 2nd place!
Outside of school, Kevin holds jobs at Foodtown and Dairy Queen. In addition, he works as a certified volunteer Firefighter in Wyckoff. He has also earned certifications in Hazmat Operations and CPR. Kevin’s commttment to excellence knows no bounds! In his free time, he enjoys relaxing with friends, watching movies, and going to the gym.
This determined Bulldog has his eyes set firmly on the future. Upon graduating, Kevin looks forward to attending John Jay College in New York City and pursuing a career in the field of Criminal Justice.
