Nicholas Legreaux (Wrestling), Symone Rodgers, and D’meriah Cuavers (Cheerleaders) have been chosen as PCTI's February Athletes of the Month!
Nick Legreaux is a three-year wrestling varsity starter who:
As a junior, has led the Bulldogs Wrestling Team as the program’s premier wrestler. Nick was the Bulldogs’ lone wrestler advancing to the Regions as the 132 lb. District 15 Champion, he finished 4th overall just missing a trip to the NJSIAA finals in Atlantic City losing the 3rd place bout by a score of 1-0. He has also had other notable marks in 2014-2015 Wrestling season, including an overall record of 30-3 at his weight class and the following:
- 1st Place finish in the Garfield Holiday Tournament
- 2nd Place finish in the Union City Tournament
- 1st Place finish in the NJSIAA District 15 Championship
- 4th Place finish in the NJSIAA Region 4 Championship
- 1st Team Big North Conference All-Liberty Division
Symone Rodgers and D'meriah Cuavers are senior Cheerleading Co-captains who:
are united in striving for excellence and leading by example. These inseparable young women play off of each other’s strengths. Both have spirit, drive, and dedication and have earned the respect of their teammates. They were instrumental in leading the team to medal at the Big North Cheer Championship.
Symone Rodgers received the 3rd year Varsity award, is a role model for her teammates, and always gives the team a laugh with her sense of humor.
D'meriah Cuavers inspires her teammates with her constant smile, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and words of encouragement. She is affectionately known as the heart of the team.
