PCTI senior, Curille McKenna has been honored by the Boys & Girls Club when she was chosen as Clifton’s Youth of the Year! This accomplishment was awarded based on her active role in the community as a gifted leader.
The honor earned Curille a scholarship worth fifteen hundred dollars. Additionally, she was invited to compete in the New Jersey State Youth of the Year Program which honors the achievements of eighteen of the state’s finest young leaders. She faced a series of interviews, recited speeches, and wrote essays. Her efforts paid off when she received third place in NJ’s Youth of the Year program!
This impressive additional win earned Curille five thousand dollars, bringing her scholarship awards to a total of sixty-five hundred dollars!
On her accomplishments, Curille had this to say, “The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton has profoundly impacted my life and helped me become the person I am. As I prepare for university education, I know my future will be great because of the foundations instilled within me from the Club.”
