Muhammad Haseeb, a senior in STEM, achieved first place in the highly competitive Pirates Pitch Competition for High School Students, hosted by Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business. Competing against nine other talented finalists, Muhammad presented his innovative and patent-pending business concept, Hydro Defrost®, to a panel of esteemed entrepreneur judges and faculty members. His product impressed the panel, earning him the top honor and a $2,500 cash prize.
The Pirates Pitch Competition, often referred to as a "Mini Shark Tank Competition," attracted 225 submissions from seven different countries. Muhammad’s outstanding presentation, delivered at Jubilee Hall , showcased his entrepreneurial vision and polished communication skills. His prior success in winning first place and $2,500 at Pitch NJ last December prepared him to approach the event with confidence and poise.
In addition to his cash prize, Muhammad was awarded $40,000 in scholarships to Seton Hall University, spread across four years, to supplement any merit-based scholarships he may receive.
