On Veteran's Day, PCTI proudly hosted its annual Veteran's Day Assembly, a poignant tribute dedicated to the courageous men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This year’s event held profound significance, uniting students, faculty, staff, and community members in a shared celebration of respect and gratitude.
Guided by Patriotic Consultant, Cathy Pagano, the assembly offered a powerful homage to the sacrifices and commitment of our veterans. Highlights included stirring speeches, moving personal testimonials, and resonant musical performances, all designed to capture the essence of unity, honor, and thankfulness.
A particularly memorable addition to this year’s program was a presentation by STEM student John Huth, who shared his project piece of the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project, where we had the opportunity to learn more about our veteran’s including those in attendance, further enriching the assembly’s tribute. Additionally, the Girls State delegates introduced the POW-MIA table tribute, educating attendees on the symbolism of this solemn honor for soldiers missing in action.
PCTI is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment that honors the sacrifices of our veterans. Through this annual assembly, we aim to instill a profound understanding of Veteran’s Day in our students and provide a meaningful platform for expressing our appreciation to those who have secured our freedoms. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition, celebrating the service and sacrifice of our veterans for many years to come.
