MANDATORY Choreo: 10/5 & 10/6
Big North Meets: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/7
Counties: 2/5 or 2/12
States: 2/23
NJTAC: 3/1 Emphasis on Tumbling & Stunting

Winter - Varsity

December 2nd & 3rd
3 pm- 5 pm

December 5th , 10th , & 12th
3 pm - 5 pm & before games
3:20 pm - 4 pm

Games are Tuesdays & Thursdays
(Dec-Feb) occasionally a Saturday
morning or Monday is added

Emphasis on Cheers & Jumps

Tryouts:

  • Athletic clothing

  • Hair must be up

  • NO JEWELRY

  • Get there EARLY

Requirements to Tryout:

  • Complete/updated physical into the nurse BEFORE tryouts

  • If you are not sure if you are cleared, you should check with the nurse ASAP

  • Cheer (Fall and Winter ONLY)

  • Dance

  • Jumps

  • You will learn all of these on DAY 1 and tryout (perform them) on DAY 2

  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, good work ethic, team player, Commitment to cheer

  • Respect for yourself and others (represent PCTI in and out of uniform)

  • Stunting and Tumbling will be evaluated and mandatory for Competition Tryouts

If You Make The Squad:

Expectations:

  • You are a student first and an athlete second

  • You will be expected to follow all rules and guidelines; NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • OSS, ISS, and Detentions will all have strict consequences

  • Attendance is extremely important, and missing practices and/or games will have strict consequences; you are being given all dates MONTHS in advance; please share these with your parents/guardians and make all appointments ahead of time around these dates.

  • You are a representative of PCTI Cheer and should always act as such: HAVE FUN and ENJOY

Winter:

Missing practices will have consequences – automatic 1-quarter bench NO EXCEPTIONS (there are no excused absences); this is where all cheers and dances will be taught as well as formations made; it is very important that all cheerleaders are present!!

Competition:

Missing stunt camp or choreography will result in an automatic alternate position (there are no excused absences); this is where stunt sequences and routines will be made; it is very important that all cheerleaders are present!!

  • 2022-2023 NJTAC third place overall

  • 2022-2023 Big North Liberty Division second place

  • 2021 Big North Liberty Division Champions

  • 2017 State Divisional Champions - NJCDCA

  • 2015-2016: NJTAC second place overall; NJ States second place overall

  • 2010-2011: NJTAC first place cheer; second place cheer dance, second place overall

  • 2009-2010: NJTAC first place cheer; second place cheer dance, second place overall

  • 2008-2009: NJTAC champs: First place overall

  • 2006-2007: NJTAC second place overall

  • 2005: 8th place at Cheerleading Nationals
