Future Healthcare Leaders: A Spotlight on Nursing during CTE Month

In honor of CTE Month, the STEM Academy extended a warm welcome to Lisa Herms, a distinguished registered nurse with over two decades of invaluable experience. With a profound focus on women's and children's health, Lisa has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care in obstetrics, postpartum, and recovery units. Her expertise and commitment shine through her work, enriching the lives of countless patients and families.

Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty at Bergen Community College, Lisa plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals through her involvement in the level I nursing program. Her passion for education and mentorship is evident as she imparts her wealth of knowledge and real-world insights to aspiring nurses.

During her recent engagement with our Biomedical Science juniors, Lisa captivated the audience with her enlightening discourse on maternal and fetal health, IVF procedures, and the multifaceted journey of a nursing career. Her presentation not only fostered a deeper understanding of these critical healthcare domains but also inspired students to consider the impactful and rewarding path of nursing.
