History was made on Monday, April 4th, as the playing field located on the corner of Preakness Avenue and Oldham Road were officially dedicated and named the “Albert A. Alexander Athletic Field.”

Al Alexander is known for his many years of service on the PCTVS Board of Education, spending most of those years as president. In addition, as a founding member of the PCTVS Education Foundation, he has helped raise over $1.5 million dollars for student scholarships and educational grants through his hard work and dedication.

Over Mr. Alexander’s 27-year plus years of service, PCTVS saw major campus expansions including the construction of the ultra-modern Athletic Center which houses a gym, indoor running track and Olympic size pool; a new cutting edge Automotive Technology Building capable of every type of auto repair as well as certified vehicle inspections; and the crowning achievement which is the state-of-the-art STEM Academy high school housing over 1200 students and offering a variety of challenging career pathways in computer science, engineering and Bio-Medical life sciences.

When asked about his time at PCTVS, Alexander commented, “As a lifelong resident of Passaic County, I am proud to have been part of the PCTVS Board of Education and PCTI Education Foundation. These kids are incredible and deserve every opportunity for success. Watching them learn and grow and prosper is the biggest reward.”

What a fitting honor for a man who devoted so much time to our proud Bulldog Family. His many years of untiring and selfless work is now memorialized for the legacy he has left for future generations.

We congratulate Albert A. Alexander on all his amazing accomplishments and look forward to many successful athletic events at what will affectionately be known as Triple “A” Field!
