PCTVS Students Rock the Mock

Living up to its team motto, “Commitment to Excellence,” the Passaic County Technical and Vocational School (PCTVS) District Mock Trial Team captured the Passaic County title for the fourth consecutive year. Sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the annual Mock Trial Competition seeks to bring the teaching of law to life for high school students across the state.

While this year’s event was unique, as it was held via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it did nothing to deter the team. After a week of competition, the Bulldogs were undefeated.

Mock Trial Coach and PCTVS Educator of the Year Robert Nutile praised the 25-member team on their hard work and dedication. “They were mentally tougher, smarter, and more disciplined than their competitors. The team received rave reviews from Superior Court Judge Justine Niccollai,” Nutile stated.

Representing PCTVS in the county trials were Kimberly Crespo and Lesly Montesino as Senior Attorneys; Diya Patel and Pamela Tolentino as Junior Attorneys; and Kevin Cazarez, Nathalie Coletti, Izabelle Grzybowski, Yasmin Obeidallah, Amy Polanco, and Andrea Posada as Witnesses.
