AOF Students Connect with “DeloitteAcademy” Mentors

A leg up in the professional world is worth its weight in gold. Add a prestigious organization into the mix, and it’s a recipe for success. Just ask Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Academy of Finance students who learned about the value of mentorship when they partnered with the “DeloitteAcademy”.

The three-session meet-up introduces students to skills that correlate with college success and focuses on self-awareness, persistence, motivation, and the ability to operate in diverse settings. The most recent visitation covered the concept of “Business Chemistry” and was a lesson in personal branding.

Twenty-seven Deloitte employees volunteered their time to act as mentors. Their specialties ranged from Advisory, Audit, Consulting positions, and more. In addition, three PCTI alumni and current Deloitte employees – Ramon Duran, Perla Payan, and Nicole Salazar, are donating their time and talents to the program.

Many thanks to DeloitteAcademy and all the volunteers who are providing invaluable opportunities for PCTI students to further expand their success in the Finance field!
