PCTI Graduates LPN Class of 2017

On Thursday August 3rd, Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) celebrated the commencement of forty-five Licensed Practical Nurses from their Day and Evening LPN programs.

Administrators and guests showered graduates in applause as they showcased both appreciation and gratitude for the hard work necessary to pursue careers in nursing. LPN student, Jean Torres served as the Master of Ceremonies while fellow student, Deidri Wright presented the Invocation. Commencement Speakers Kristy Ubas and Marian Skirpan congratulated their classmates on a job well done.

Special awards, amounting to a total of two-thousand dollars, were distributed on behalf of Passaic County Technical Institute’s Education Foundation. Scholarships to Belle Uniforms were awarded to Kristy Ubas and Marian Skirpan for Highest Academic Averages, Keresha Pottinger and Abigail Torgbor for Highest Clinical Averages, and Rita Scheef and Raul Ronda for achieving the highest scores on their Comprehensive Exit Exam. Linda Lewandowski also received acclaim for achieving perfect attendance throughout the entire program. In addition, Education Foundation President Al Alexander and PCTI Superintendent Diana C. Lobosco surprised graduates when they presented iPads to lucky LPN recipients Kristy Ubas and Tetyana Kuz.

Friends and family cheered as each graduate processed across the stage. LPN Coordinator Noreen Frodella (RN, BSN) and fellow instructors presented graduates with pins and diplomas. Congratulations to PCTI’s LPN graduates of the Class of 2017!
