Superior Rating Earns PCTI Student Golden Ticket to Thespian Festival

In January, Rachel Polzer, a junior at Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI), competed in the Monologue Event at the NJ Thespian Festival. Her performance at Robbinsville High School in Trenton earned a Superior rating and admittance into the International Festival held in Nebraska from June 19th-25th. The exclusive invitation will see Rachel perform a monologue from The Diary of Ann Frank.

Every summer, thousands of middle and high school thespians participate in the festival to celebrate student achievement in the performing arts. The International Festival is organized by the Educational Theatre Association and provides a week long immersive experience in singing, dancing, acting, designing, directing, creating, writing, and memory-making. The festival also features workshops presented by theatre professionals, individual and group performances, programs for technical theatre students, and opportunities to audition for college admission and scholarships.

Rachel will be joined at the event by PCTI Instructor and Thespian Advisor, Lynn Quinn.
