PCTI Students Receive National Award with Prestigious “Gracie” Win

Passaic County Technical Institute’s (PCTI) Video Production students – Paola Apolinario, Kristalee Estrella, Erika Robertson, and Courtney Whyte – were honored with a prestigious Gracie Award for their winning submission, “Tech Talk: Your Career, Your Choice.” The exclusive national award, presented by the Alliance for Women in Media, recognized the students’ featurette in the Interactive Media category.

PCTI’s submission celebrated female empowerment by interviewing young women of the high school who were enrolled in programs typically dominated by men. This included Engineering, Computer Science, Carpentry, Automotive, HVAC, and more. The “for women, by women” organization connects, recognizes, and inspires women across the media industry.

Local and Student TV, Radio, and Interactive Media Award winners will be honored at the 42nd Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, June 27th at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
