Congratulations to Athlete of the Month Adam Hamdeh1

Adam is Captain of the wrestling team. A 4th year varsity wrestler, Adam is a state sectional champion as well as a Passaic County champion with an overall record of 35-6. Adam competed and landed as 2nd in the district tournament and 3rd in the region tournament. Having his best year to date, Adam finished top 20 in the state.

Adam is a student of PCTI’s Project Lead the Way. A Bulldog athlete he also plays Lacrosse for PCTI. In his free time, Adam trains for wrestling and lacrosse on club team and lifts weights to remain active. Next year he plans on attending Montclair State University to study Computer Science and hopes to play lacrosse.

Adam’s non-stop mentality and determination are traits of a great athlete!

Venus John

Congratulations to Athlete of the Month, Venus John!

Venus is a senior on the Girls’ Fencing team. She is the girls’ Epee Captain and has been on the team since her freshman year. Committed to the sport, Venus holds an overall record of 27-3. Among her accolades are 1st place Passaic County Individual Champion, 4th place in District 2 which allowed her to qualify for State Championship. Venus helped lead the team during the Passaic County Tournament obtaining 4th place and again in the district 2 tournament landing the team 2nd place.

Venus is currently a student of PCTI’s Academy of Health and Medical Science. She is a member of HOSA, Gifted and Talented, and the National Honor Society. In her free time, she volunteers with NJCDC, an organization that gives young teens the opportunity to give back to the community and do community service.

In university, Venus plans to continue fencing while at university and aspire to compete in the Olympics. She plans to pursue her dreaming of becoming a sports medicine doctor.

Venus’ passion for fencing and positive attitude has made her and asset to the team!
