September Student of the Month

Zill Ratanji

Zill Ratanji is a Clifton local whose contagious ambition inspires everyone she meets. This member of the Academy of Finance has made it her mission to go after her dreams and achieve her goals. She’s already accomplished much during her four years at PCTI!

Zill is avidly involved in many activities on campus. On this, she says, “I really enjoy taking advantage of all the opportunities available to me - which are quite a lot!” Zill is well-known as the President of the Class of 2016. She is also a member of the FBLA, Gifted and Talented, the National Honor Society, Student Council/Interact, and Girls Varsity Tennis. Last year, Zill was selected for Girls State where she served as City Treasurer, State Insurance Commissioner, and on the State Assembly. In addition to these activities, she has worked equally hard for her academic achievements. Zill ranks in the top two percent of her class and has a GPA that exceeds 4.2! By graduation she will have accumulated nineteen college credits.

A true testament to her determination and drive is Zill’s accomplishment of receiving her diploma in Indian Classical. She trained for seven years and by the age of thirteen, was able to perform Bharantanatyam (a dance dedicated to God).

The movements are precise, practiced, and sit at the heart of her culture. Zill choreographed and presented a musical number for last year’s Asian Pacific Heritage Month, which thrust her talents center stage.

When it comes to her future endeavors, Zill already has plan. She looks forward to attending a university in New York City and seeks to earn her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and hopes to become a CPA. Zill’s goal is to use her impeccable problem solving and organizational skills to help out in her father’s business, Ratan LLC: an expanding hotel chain.

When asked what was the best thing about PCTI, Zill cited the genuine good-hearted nature of her instructors. “They’re always willing to help out in any way that they can. I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of due to their kindness and unwavering support.”

There’s no doubt that Zill’s unparalleled drive and financial finesse will guide her along the path to success. This determined Bulldog is ready and willing to embrace every available opportunity. Congratulations on your accomplishments Zill, and good luck in the future!
