Passaic County Community College (PCCC) celebrated the winners of the One Night in Paterson short story competition on Monday, March 13. Five students of the STEM Academy were honored in a ceremony held on the PCTVS campus and attended by PCCC’s Associate President and Dean of Engagement, Dr. Rebecca Royal, English Department Chair Nina-Louise Alsbrook-Jackson, Literary Journal Advisor Christine Redman-Waldeyer, Director, Foundation & Marketing/Communications Meredith Behrens, Dr. Geoffry Gordon, and Tanya DaSilva.

The competition received 47 entries, and the STEM Academy students were the clear winners earning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention placements. The five fantastic writers are currently registered in AP English courses.

The stories presented were well-written, dynamic, intriguing, and compelling! The winning stories will be featured in the upcoming edition of PCCC's Literary Journal. This competition was an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their creative writing skills and connect with their community.
